Petition Filed To Impeach Oklahoma Education Association President

A petition is circulating online, calling for the impeachment of the president and vice president of the Oklahoma Education Association.

The post claims OEA President Alicia Priest and Vice President Katherine Bishop failed to perform duties required as officers of the organization. Many of the claims are linked to the teacher walkout earlier this month. Including a “lack of strategy was developed or communicated to measure progress during the OEA walkout.,” and not polling the full roster of OEA membership on when to end the walkout.

The Oklahoma Education Association has not commented on the petition yet.
