We are getting reaction from Green Country lawmakers on Wednesday night's online sales tax vote.

The Oklahoma House passed the bill 92 to 7.  It would take sales tax from online purchases, giving an estimated $20-million to fund education.

Republican representative Earl Sears from Bartlesville, who spent more than 30 years as an educator says he is "very pleased" with Wednesday's vote

Sears says none of the recent legislative action would have happened if teacher's hadn't walked out.

"I don't like walkouts, but emotions boiled over and sometimes in America we have to do things to make a point," said Earl Sears.

Democrat Representative Matt Meredith of Tahlequah is calling the vote a "great step toward funding education" but adds, "it's not enough."

He goes on to say, "education is not about Democrat and Republican, it's about our kids."
