Support for Oklahoma teachers is coming to the state Capitol from other states.
Tuesday, we talked with a couple of Minnesota teachers who said they're fighting for funding in their state and wanted to help Oklahoma teachers do the same.
Lisa Czech and Leah Vandassor made the trip from Saint Paul, Minnesota, to spend their Spring Break at the Oklahoma Capitol.
Both said Minnesota and Oklahoma have a lot in common when it comes to education.
"We get a lot of support from the community but we don't get what we always need from the Legislature. We have to go ask and beg all the time," Czech said.
Both teachers said they felt encouraged to see teachers in high spirits and how supportive Oklahomans are.
They said they hope everyone at the capitol holds lawmakers accountable for their votes come November.
"All the folks that are here supporting this need to remember this in November when it's time for elections to come back up. They gotta remember what's what when it happens because that's a major time. That's when everyone here can have a voice," Vandassor said.
