Cleveland Police have re-captured a man who escaped custody. Shawn Bristow escaped from a patrol car Tuesday morning near the Cleveland Walmart, 772 North Airport Road.

A Facebook post states the officer was recovering narcotics from Bristow's car when the suspect escaped wearing handcuffs, no shoes, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and socks.

Police Chief Clint Stout said, while on the run, Bristow broke into two apartments asking for a ride, all while wearing handcuffs.

"He busted into the managers apartment, the manager had to get him out and he also went into an elderly couple's apartment and scared them half to death, of course," Stout said.

They tracked him down about four hours later.
