Some Tulsa Union school teachers are holding demonstrations this week to bring attention to a possible walkout next week.
Union's PTSA posted on its Facebook page that teachers will hold demonstrations all week in response to the state's education problems.
The teachers say they will be outside the high school's main entrance from 3:30 to 5:30 every afternoon this week.
Teachers will meet this afternoon to make signs and plan how the rest of the week will look.
Union's PTSA says all parents and students are welcome to make their own signs and come out to support the teachers.
They also encourage parents and students to call their legislators and tell them to restore funding for education and increase teacher salaries.
Meanwhile, the Tahlequah Education Association is hosting a forum Monday to talk about the funding cuts that led to the looming teacher walkout.
The group says it will focus on how the cuts affect schools and students. They will also answer questions.
The forum starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Armory Municipal Center at 100 North Water Avenue.
