Tulsa Police have arrested a man in connection with the city's 8th homicide of the year.

Officers arrested Mickey Jim Drake Saturday for first-degree manslaughter.

Investigators said Drake flagged down an officer near 14th and Lewis to tell him about a homeless man who needed help.

That's when first responders found 60-year-old Craig Henderson beaten to death in a grassy area, with signs of a struggle.

Officers said Drake had blood on him, not consistent with any injuries.

They said when detectives interviewed Drake, he admitted he had gotten into a fight with the Henderson.

"I mean I'm sure it's some sort of altercation between homeless people over homeless stuff," said Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker.

Officers believe Henderson died of blunt force trauma but are still working with the Medical Examiner to determine an official cause of death.
