A Kiefer man suspected of witness tampering has been taken into custody by the FBI.
In an affidavit filed with the U.S. District Court in Tulsa, Jamie Cavitt, a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, states that Larry O. Douglas, Jr. has been under investigation for multiple crimes, including drug trafficking, racketeering, witness intimidation, and murder.
Cavitt says that a witness to Douglas’s criminal activities, whom Douglas also used to conduct some of his alleged crimes, told Cavitt that Douglas would threaten and physically beat her to scare her away from cooperating with law enforcement.
The affidavit mentions several instances of Douglas intimidating, threatening, or physically harming the witness.
According to Cavitt, the witness said that Douglas threatened to kill her and her family if they provided information to law enforcement. To reinforce the threat, the witness said, Douglas showed her a video of her minor child getting off of a school bus and told the witness that he had eyes everywhere.
The witness also told Cavitt that at one point Douglas told her she “knows too much to get out.”
Cavitt also states in the affidavit that the witness once found a piece of paper with a list of phone numbers on it. When the witness tried to keep the paper, in hopes of providing it to law enforcement, Douglas got angry, grabbed her by the throat, and punched her in the face multiple times.
Cavitt also says that when the witness asked Douglas about the murder of his wife, Amanda Douglas, he responded by having her read a news article about the murder investigation and told the witness “that is who you are dealing with.”
Tulsa Police say Douglas is under investigation for the murder of his wife in 2014. However, no charges have been filed in that case at this time.

The witness further told Cavitt that she learned from Douglas that he had paid the person who murdered his wife $25,000 to keep quiet.
