Tulsa Police: Man Stabbed In The Face

Police say a man was taken to the hospital Wednesday evening after they say he was stabbed in the face with a knife.

Officers were called to the R&R Food Mart in the 6100 block of South Peoria at 9:45 p.m.  They say the victim told the clerk he had been shot and to call 911.  

Police said upon their arrival, officers realized the man had not been shot, but rather was the victim of a stabbing at a nearby apartment complex at around 4 p.m.  They said the man is expected to be OK. 

A search for a suspect continues.
