'Giving Jar' Added To Salvation Army's Red Kettles In Tulsa

The Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign is now underway and in the Tulsa area, there is a new way to donate.

The Tulsa Command of the Salvation Army is the first location in the U.S. which will allow you to donate using your credit card.

No Cash for the Kettle? No Problem!

Their iconic red kettles now have a Giving Jar, which allows you to "dip" your credit card to make a $3 donation.

Tulsa's commander says credit information is transmitted through a 3G network adding they provide added security for donors and no information is saved in the device.

The Salvation Army hopes to raise $700,000 this Red Kettle season. This year's campaign is called Red Kettle Reason.
