Tulsa Police said they're looking for the gunman in Tuesday morning's shooting near I-244 and Harvard.
Moments before the shooting, officers said there was some kind of assault followed by an argument involving several people in the neighborhood.
Police said the shooter pulled up in a black Nissan and started shooting.
Officers said found 10 shell casings in the middle of the intersection.
They said a 19-year-old man went to the hospital after he was shot in the head and leg.
Witnesses told police threats were made during the altercation, but they say the shooter was not involved in the argument.
Officers said the victim somehow anticipated the shooting.
"They thought it would be a good idea to go across the street where it'd be harder for the suspects to see them if there was a shooting," said Sgt. Brett Bilyeu.
Police said the victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
Investigators say it's a convoluted story, and they want to talk to witnesses about what took place. If you know anything, you're asked to call police.
