The Tulsa Threat, a women’s tackle football team, held its third and final set of tryouts Sunday at Nathan Hale high school.
Athletes had to pay a tryout fee and show up in athletic clothing in order to get a chance at the team.
“Women need to be active just like men and this is a great outlet. It's a great way to build a team and make new friendships,” said football player Kimber Martin.
The 8th season for the Threat starts in April.
They play in the Independent Women's Football League.
Last season their schedule included games in Texas, Colorado, and Iowa.
