Starting November, the City of Broken Arrow will implement a second rate increase for water, sewer and stormwater services.
The increase is part of a multi-year utility infrastructure reinvestment plan approved by the City Council.
According to a news release, a typical customer in the city limits using 7,000 gallons of water per month will see about a $3.75 per month increase.
The City says the water bill will increase about $1.68; the sewer bill will increase about $1.05 and the stormwater fee will increase by $0.52.
The City also said the street light fee will increase $1.00 to $1.50.
The increases are necessary to provide utility services and pay operational costs and debt service payments the City said in a news release.
It also said the street light fee will fund two new street signal technician positions.
The City said a similar increase was approved in December 2016.
