Tulsa Police are teaming up with AT&T to help the youngest victims of domestic violence.
All through October, AT&T stores are collecting teddy bears. At the end of the month, the stuffed animals will then be given to officers to give to children to help calm them in those situations.
“There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t have a domestic in Tulsa somewhere involving a child – whether they’re in the parents’ arms, or they’re just in the living room when there’s an argument going. This is such a comfort tool,” said Officer Adam Ashley.
The only goal is to encourage community participation.
AT&T is offering a 25 percent discount on one accessory in store with the donation of a teddy bear.
The bears must be new and a least 10 inches in height.
