Some K9 officer teams from all over the state will train in Green Country most of the week.
The Broken Arrow Police Department began hosting an advanced workshop Monday.
The K9 teams — 23 of them — are getting trained and certified in areas like narcotics and explosives detection.
"The criminal element tries to hide things that the human can't detect. But they can't win when it comes to the dog," said Marque Baldwin, Broken Arrow K9 officer trainer.
This is the first state workshop of its kind in Oklahoma.
The training wraps up on Thursday.
