A Sand Springs woman said she will have to teach her mother how to walk again after a terrible crash at I-244 and Highway 75.
She said whoever hit her mother left her to die on the side of the road.
Jessie Hamilton was on her way home from a cousin's birthday party when her family said she started having a stroke.
She started to pull over and that's when someone hit her.
Now as Jessie spends every minute in a hospital bed, her daughter Deserae knows her mom will overcome the challenges ahead.
"She's gonna make it, I know. My mom's strong. She's a fighter." Said her daughter.
She said aside from the stroke, her mom has several fractures, a broken collarbone, and nerve damage.
She'll have to learn to walk again, but she's tough.
Her daughter describes her as "Outgoing, she always puts smiles on your face. Just, small but mighty."
Deserae said whoever rear-ended her mom sent her spinning in a circle, and drove away.
"They hit her. They didn't even stop to see if she was ok. they just left her for dead. They could have killed her right there on scene. But they just left." She said.
"That's my mom. I'm only 16 years old. it hurts me because I feel like I’m losing my best friend." Hamilton’s other daughter Destiny said.
Jessie's daughters say they know very little about the other driver.
"We asked what color … she was like 'blue truck,' that was it." Deserae said.
So, they're hoping anyone who might have seen something will speak up.
They have no idea what led to the crash, but they need answers.
"It could have been out of road rage or it could have been he didn't see her," Deserae said.
If you were on the road and saw something or have any information - you're asked to call OHP.
The family set up a Go Fund Me account to help pay for medical expenses.
