The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an 18-year-old Tulsa man was thrown from the bed of a pickup he was riding in when it crashed on a Sand Springs highway Sunday afternoon.
The troopers report stated a 1993 Chevy truck, driven by Rachael Loveless, 20, of Tulsa, was eastbound on Highway 64, near Adams Road when she lost control on a curve and hit a guardrail.
The OHP says the impact threw Dominique Pipes of Sand Springs, over a wall, landing on a walking path below the highway. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital and admitted for head, arm and leg injuries.
The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m.
Troopers said Loveless and two other passengers were also taken to the hospital, but were all treated and released.
