Oklahomans React To David Boren's Retirement Announcement

People across Oklahoma are reacting to David Boren's big announcement.

Boren was instrumental in establishing the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa campus.

The president of OU-Tulsa said Boren leaves behind a legacy that will never be duplicated.

"OU Tulsa really is a huge part of David Boren's legacy so this campus we are on, this beautiful campus, the Schusterman Center campus was really part of his vision," said John Schumann.

Schumann described Boren as a "father figure" for the university, and said his presence will be missed.
