Tulsa Police arrested a man they say shot and killed a man in a parking lot and a pregnant woman inside an apartment, all on the same day.

Detectives said they linked the murder weapon to Keenon White, who was the department’s most wanted criminal in August.

On September 5th, 2017, police were working the murder of Teddy Prejean - someone had shot and killed him in the Savanna Landing parking lot while he was getting out of his car.

Police were wrapping up that investigation when family members found Shayron Brown shot to death in her apartment next door. She was 16 weeks pregnant.

Police said her baby is the third murder victim in the case.

"The coincidence is just too great to dismiss," said Sergeant Dave Walker with the Tulsa Police Department.

Officers found White a few miles away and arrested him for several felony warrants. They said surveillance video showed him leaving the apartment complex, then, they followed his footsteps and found a .45 caliber handgun.

"White's fingerprints came back on the magazine," Walker said. "We found shell casings in the parking lot were the same brand of the shell casing that was found in the apartment. Same caliber, same brand, same color."

Police do not have a motive for the murders.

"The why is out there, but the who, definitely I believe we have the who," he said.

Walker said White was on the Tulsa Most Wanted in August and no one called Tulsa Police to report him.

"When we say these people are violent and dangerous we are not just saying that just because," Walker said. "If there is blame to be laid it could be everywhere. You know, we didn't catch him, but then there is people that knew he was wanted and they just didn't turn him in."

Homicide detectives plan to re-interview people and hope, now that someone is behind bars, people will be more willing to talk.
