Some Green Country parents want a teacher back in the classroom.

She submitted her resignation after a disturbing incident involving a student.

This happening at Hilldale Elementary School in Muskogee.

Parents say a student there cursed, used obscene gestures, and exposed himself in the classroom.

"They need their teacher and I want to be there for them right now." Said Hilldale Elementary Teacher Krystal Cox.

Cox said,  "I feel at a loss right now because I'm not in the classroom with my children where I should be."

What hurts Cox the most is that it was one of her students, parents say.

All this, Parent Dennis Slader said, was said to be done while 22 other students were in the classroom.

Superintendent Kaylin Coody gave a statement which says, in part, "We are working diligently to provide for students and staff, while remaining within the confines of the law."

Slader said he feels the district isn't doing its part to keep parents informed. The safety of his son is now a major concern.

The concern leaves Cox uncertain about her future at Hilldale Elementary.

"My babies are with a sub and not with me. And that's who they need to be with because I miss them." Cox said.

Cox told me she's rescinded her resignation and plans to approach the school board on Tuesday along with other parents.
