Tulsa Police arrested a wanted fugitive after a standoff with police near Pine and Sheridan.

The man was wanted for assault and battery on an officer and failing to register as a sex offender.

Police said they found Lumas King hiding in a crawl space above a duplex. They said King lives there with a woman who officers also arrested.

Officers had the duplex surrounded for about three hours before they said King fell through the ceiling into the next-door neighbor's apartment, where officers and K9 were waiting.

The K9 helped officers take King into custody. His next door neighbor, Claudia Stancell, said she's shocked by the whole thing.

"Talk about scary. Yeah, it was scary. We've been out for like three hours and we couldn't go back in," she said.

King was taken to the hospital.

Police said they found ammo and drugs inside the duplex.
