After a small sample of games in last week's week zero to kick off the season, everyone across the state is in action tonight in week one.

Our game of the week is a good one, the Caney River Rivalry between Collinsville and Oologah.

The Mustangs lead the series 27-16, including their 43-14 win over the Cardinals to start the season last year.

Oologah is coming off three straight state runner-up finishes.

The Mustangs have a big senior class this year, and feel all that championship experience will help.

Oologah Head Coach Brandon Craig said, "We're replacing a bunch of kids, but we've got a good group of seniors, 19 seniors coming back. So, we've got some good pieces coming back for us, and we just feel like we've got a bunch of experience.  These kids have all played in some very big games, so we feel like we've got a good team coming back."

The Cardinals are coming off a quarterfinal loss to Lawton Mac in last year's playoffs.

Gone are quarterback Seth Boomer and linebacker Levi Draper.

The Cards are a young group this year, and as such may be flying under the radar, but head coach Kevin Jones says that's suiting his guys just fine.

"We've got about 4 or 5 starters on both sides of the football coming back, so we've got a lot of brand new starters out there.  But we really like our youth. There are really good groups coming up through junior high, our sophomores and juniors. Our senior class is a small class, but they're a good group as well." Jones said.

Oologah will be on Collinsville turf for the game.
