Silver Alert Canceled For Sequoyah County Man

Update: The Silver Alert for Vonnie Turner was canceled shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.

Authorities are looking for 87-year-old white male Vonnie Turner.

He went missing around 12pm Friday near North Highway 59 by the Adair/Sequoyah County Line. 

Reports say he might be trying to hitchhike, possibly towards Stilwell or Sallisaw.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown checkered shirt.

Turner suffers from dementia among other health problems and could be seriously injured, reports say.
