The Cherokee Nation will be hosting its 65th National Holiday this Labor Day weekend and it's packed with events for everyone.
More than 100,000 visitors are expected to be in Tahlequah this weekend for the 63rd Cherokee National Holiday. The three-day celebration honors tribal history and heritage, marking the signing of the Cherokee Nation Constitution in 1839.
Events at the celebration include:
Parade - Saturday at 9:30
State Of the Nation - Saturday at 11:30 am
Powwow Grand Entry - Friday & Saturday at 7:00 pm
During the holiday, admission is free at Cherokee Nation Museums.
