A man charged with murder in both Tulsa and Rogers counties pleaded guilty Thursday.
Cory Kuebler was accused of murdering Casey Adkins in Catoosa and Curtis Hergenrother (also known as Corbin Tyler) in Tulsa. He pleaded guilty in both deaths in a Rogers County courtroom.
"It's very unusual, but our prosecutor took care of both the Tulsa and Rogers County cases in our courthouse today," said Michelle Lowry, public information officer for the Rogers County District Attorney's Office.
Kuebler received life without parole in exchange for the prosecution agreeing not to seek the death penalty.
Police say he is part of a group that has ties to the Irish Mob. His brother, Robert Kilgore, is also charged with first-degree murder in Adkins' death.
Prosecutors said Kuebler shot Hergenrother/Tyler to death at the Somerset Apartments in Tulsa. Police say a woman knocked on a door at the Somerset Apartments and when Hergenrother/Tyler opened it, Kuebler entered the apartment. Police said he was wearing a red bandana over his face.

The victim struggled and two shots were fired, one hitting him in the neck, Sergeant Dave Walker told News On 6.
Tulsa Police took Kuebler into custody in August 2016, in a raid on a hotel room.
Kuebler is a convicted felon and sex offender from Texas who was arrested about a month after being released from an Oklahoma prison.
