Friends are raising money for the family of a baby girl who died suddenly in Broken Arrow earlier this week.

Two-month-old Scarlett Miller died on Monday, August 28, 2017.

Police are investigating the death, but said it does not appear to be suspicious.

Officers and firefighters responded to a home in the 1700 block of North 27th Street around 3 p.m. Monday, according to Officer James Koch. They found the girl unresponsive and paramedics took her to hospital where she was pronounced dead, Koch said.

The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the child's cause of death.

Friends set up a GoFundMe account to help the family.

The friends say they organized the effort to help the family with funeral expenses, and so the parents can take time off from work to grieve. The parents have two other small children, the friends say.
