The Small Business Administration is making loans available for homes and businesses that were damaged in the midtown Tulsa tornado.

A disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Tulsa, Creek, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Wagoner and Washington counties.

“Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to businesses of all sizes, most private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters whose property was damaged or destroyed by this disaster,” said SBA’s Oklahoma District Director Dorothy Overal.

They are opening an outreach center at noon Thursday, August 24 at Sunshine Pediatric Therapy (formerly the Wright Career College Building), 4908 South Sheridan Road in Tulsa. Representatives will be available to answer questions and help people apply for the loans.

Regular hours will be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. except on Labor Day when the help center will be closed.

A news release states businesses and nonprofit organizations can borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace lost inventory and other assets. They can also apply for loans to prevent the same type of disaster damage from happening in the future.
