NFL Player, Tulsa Native Michael Bowie Booked Into Tulsa Jail

NFL player and Tulsa native Michael Bowie turned himself in at the Tulsa County Jail Monday, August 21. Bowie was booked on charges of domestic assault and battery and malicious injury or destruction of property.

Prosecutors said Bowie, who is an offensive tackle for the New York Giants, went to his girlfriend's home and got mad at her because he didn't like the way she'd talked to his mother.

Officers said he assaulted her and damaged her property - breaking two televisions and punching a hole in the wall. His bond is $15,000 for the assault and $2,000 for malicious injury to property.
