Road Construction Impacts Jenks Middle School Traffic

Unexpected construction caused a big traffic headache for parents of Jenks Middle School students going back to school Friday. 

Middle schoolers go back to class this morning at 9:15 a.m. and the road in front of the middle school - 101st Street - is going to be a challenge for drivers. 

It's being widened and because of unforeseen problems, it will be westbound only during the school year.

Following this school year, the street will be closed entirely.

As far as Jenks school construction projects, they list eight recent projects on their website.

Students at the high school will be coming back to a new cafeteria and buildings five and six will have long-awaited renovations.
