A Kiefer resident is shocked after opening her mail and finding she'd been charged for a ticket from 1998.

Cindi Hutton said she received a letter asking for $126 for a ticket she says she paid 19 years ago.

Hutton hired an attorney to get the ticket dismissed, but she's worried other people might not be able to afford to go through the same hassle.

"According to my attorney there is a statute of limitation even on tickets. You can't come after people for 15 and more years 25 and on up, you can't come after them for tickets," Hutton said.

If someone gets a ticket they think they've already paid, they need to contact Tulsa City Hall.
