Police: Thieves Use Truck To Burglarize Tulsa Dollar General Store

Police say burglars used their pickup to smash through the front of a Tulsa Dollar General store near 4th and Lewis early Wednesday morning, August 16. The silver pickup did a lot of damage to the store.

Officers tell News On 6 a witness saw what happened just before 1:45 a.m. and called police. The caller told police they believed the people inside the truck were then burglarizing the store.

But before officers arrived at the store, police the people had backed the truck out of the store and were last seen driving east on 4th Street.

Store employees are cleaning up, and there isn't any information yet on exactly what was taken.

The store was closed at the time of the crash, so no one was inside. The investigation will be turned over to the Tulsa burglary squad.
