A 51-year-old Muskogee man was arrested after investigators served a search warrant at his home and discovered high-grade marijuana, a large amount of cash, several guns and child pornography on his cell phone, Muskogee Police said.
Just blocks away from Irving Elementary School in Muskogee, marijuana, cash and several guns were found inside the home of Corry Volz.
But the investigation took a turn when police looked at his phone.
"No, I don't think that was something that they had any indication that was going on with this case,” said officer Lincoln Anderson. “It just so happened to turn out that way."
Investigators say they found pictures of naked children.
According to the arrest affidavit, when asked about the pictures, Volz's stated: "he'd tried to delete them all." Investigators say they got an additional warrant and confiscated eight phones and computers which are now being searched but say they still have a lot of questions.
“Do we have victims here? Where are the victims at? Can we locate them? Where is the porn coming from? How is he getting it? Who is he getting it from?” are some of those questions officer Anderson stated.
Police told News On 6 the investigation started all because they got a tip that Volz was getting pot in the mail.
In the affidavit, Volz admitted to having the pot and selling it.
Now, investigators are trying to figure out if the drugs and porn are connected and if more people are involved.
“There's no telling where it's going to end,” said Anderson.
Investigators say they still have thousands of photos to go through.
