Fire Displaces Tulsa County Family

A Tulsa County family of four is safe as well as their pets after their mobile home caught fire Tuesday evening.

Just after 6:45 p.m. the Sand Springs Fire Department was sent to the home in the 7100 block of West 1st Street.  

When they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.

Fire officials say no one was home at the time, but the homeowner had broken a window to make sure their pets made it out safely.  They said he was treated for minor cuts to his hand.

The Red Cross is helping the family.  

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
