Police say a Tulsa newspaper delivery driver was shot while on his route early Friday.
Officers said the shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. near Xenophon Avenue and West 61st Place.
Police say the victim was turning his car around in a driveway when a teenager next door stepped out of a garage and fired several times, hitting the car and the victim.
He drove to a nearby QuikTrip and called 911.
Neighbors told News On 6 there have been a number of recent car and residential burglaries in the area, so people are on edge.
Police took the 17-year-old downtown to be interviewed by detectives.
Police say EMSA took the driver to the hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
