Tulsa AD Derrick Gragg Confident Of Keeping Philip Montgomery

You're doing something right if you're hiring the right people.

University of Tulsa Athletic Director Dr. Derrick Gragg has done a good job hiring coaches. That's why coaches like football's Philip Montgomery is a hot candidate for bigger jobs.

But Dr. Gragg is okay with it.

"It proves that he's what we thought he was when we brought him here,” said Gragg. “I'm not surprised by it. It's one of the things, historically here, that this institution had to be prepared for that type of situation. So, I'd rather it be that way than the other way around. We'll do everything we can to keep him, but we have to keep being successful too."
