Tulsa Police officers are on the scene of a shooting near 61st & Peoria where they said a woman was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her stomach.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex, they found the victim lying in the street with two people trying to help her, said TPD Sgt. Kurt Dodd. She was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, Dodd said.
Witnesses said the woman was in a car when she was shot, and the car had five bullet holes in the windshield.
Police said they responded to the call before 6:30 a.m. but they've been at the apartment complex more than once since Sunday night to respond to disturbance calls related to a man and woman arguing. Officers said they don't know yet if those calls are related to Monday morning's shooting.
Neighbors said the suspected shooter was last seen walking away from the scene. Officers continue to look for the suspect.
Police said while they were on the scene, a man flagged them down and told them a man at a nearby location had a gunshot wound as well. Officers searched for that shooting victim but they weren't able to find him.
Officers said they don't know at this point if that man is another victim or is a suspect but they're still investigating.
News On 6 has a crew on the scene and is working to learn more about the incident.
