Looking for an excuse to go out and fish, you are in luck.  Saturday, June 3rd is the 40th annual "Take Me Fishing Day."

On Friday, News On 6 meteorologist Dick Faurot was there as they stocked fish into two ponds in Tulsa and as well as ponds in Broken Arrow and Jenks.

Saturday is the last year for Dick Faurot to host the event.

News On 6's newest meteorologist, Lacey Swope joined Dick at four different ponds Saturday for some fishing.

This fun and free event is happening at LaFortune Park at the corner of 51st and Hudson; the Mohawk Park East pond just off 5701 East 36th St North; the Jenks Veterans Park pond at 305 South Birch Street; and the pond at Broken Arrow Events Park at 21101 East 101st Street.

Again the fishing is free and you don't need a license.
