Tulsa Police are hoping to identify a person connected to a possible attempted abduction.

Police said no crime was committed but they want to identify the man if there are problems in the future.

Police said they responded to a possible abduction at 5300 North Frankfort Avenue around 11:20 Monday morning.

They said a caller told police a girl ran to them and said an unknown man tried to pick her up.\

When police arrived, the 15-year-old girl told them she was walking home from a park when a vehicle slowed down behind her.

Police said the girl told them the driver rolled down the window tried to flirt with her and said, “Hey sexy, what your name? You live around here? Can I get your number?”

The girl told police she had never seen the man or the vehicle. She said she started to walk faster and said the man appeared to take off his seat belt, preparing to get out.

She said that’s when she got scared and ran to the person who called 911.

The man is described as a heavy-set black male between 35 and 40 years old, medium height and short buzzed black hair. Police said the man may live in the area and has been seen there previously.

The vehicle was a bright newer model Jeep Cherokee with an Indian Nation red tag.

Again, police say no crime was committed, but they would like to identify the man.
