Girl Shot During Attempted Robbery In Tulsa

Police say a girl was shot during an attempted robbery Friday afternoon.

The girl and a woman were in a Jeep in a parking lot near Pine and Peoria talking to a man. The man demanded the woman's wallet and pulled a pistol.

The girl and the woman drove off and the man opened fire, hitting the girl at least once. The driver stopped the car at 8th and Cincinnati and called police.

Police said the car has multiple bullet holes in it. They went to the area near Pine and Peoria to look for the man who fired the shots but so far haven't found him.

Police said the girl's injuries were not life threatening.
