Oklahoma State Senate passed a bill to allow counties to decide whether alcohol should be sold on Sundays. It's part of a larger effort to modernize the state's liquor laws.

The bill passed by a 26-14 margin. Backers say it's a long time in coming.

The bill goes to governor's desk now. If Governor Mary Fallin signs it into law, it won't go into effect until October, 2018.
