Police said two men wearing gloves saw an employee walking out the back door of Mi Cocina Sunday night after closing time.
The robbers grabbed that employee, forced her back inside and told the manager to give them the money out of the till.
As they made their getaway, officers said the thieves hit a parked car, damaging the front of it.
They were last seen in a white Chevy Impala heading northbound on Peoria from Cherry Street.
TPD said one of the robbers was carrying a sawed-off shotgun with white tape around the handle.
