The Will Rogers Turnpike was closed for a little more than an hour early Thursday morning after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and first responders worked a crash and vehicle fire near Verdigris.
Troopers said two people were injured in the fire that happened after a crash a little after 5 a.m.
Troopers said the fire was in the eastbound, inside lane at the 248.5 mile marker against the center median, but they closed both westbound and eastbound lanes as firefighters worked to put the fire out.
OHP said a semi was also involved in the crash and the two injured people were transported to area hospitals.
All lanes were opened at about 6:22 a.m.
