Just after 4:30 a.m., police said a woman delivering newspapers for the Tulsa World went to the hospital after someone shot her twice in the chest.
She told police she saw three men on 51st Street North, where she was hit.
Police said she was driving her car at the time, which was hit about nine times.
"It kinda makes me wonder how close were they to do that,” said Tulsa resident Marion DeBose.
But officers said someone fired dozens of other shots too. They found almost 60 shell casings nearby on Rockford Avenue.
DeBose was left cleaning up glass on her front porch after the rounds of gunshots in her neighborhood.
"I really didn't see that it was in here until I actually got up,” she stated.

Three bullets hit her home, one going through the front door then going through the closet door, all while someone was sleeping here in the living room.
She said her nephew was asleep while the bullet flew through the front door.
"He's fine,” she said. “We was the only two in here."
While DeBose is thinking about how she'll make repairs to her home, the woman who delivers her paper each day is also on her mind.
"I wish her well and remember in prayer,” said DeBose.
Tulsa World employees said to their knowledge, this is the first time someone delivering the paper has been shot.
