A man is in jail after he attempted to elude TPD officers early Saturday morning when they tried to stop him.
Police said they attempted to stop a bicyclist at about 3:23 a.m. at 6300 Charles Page Blvd., but he fled southbound on South 63rd West Avenue.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Tad Kleiner, crashed his bike on the wet roadway while attempting to turn on West 10th Street, police said.
The pursuing officer quickly grabbed the suspect, and despite the suspect's resistance, the officer was able to take him into custody.
The officer found a loaded .22 revolver and a loaded .380 semi-automatic firearm on the suspect as well as meth and prescription pills.
Kleiner was booked on complaints of felony possession of a firearm, felony possession of controlled drugs, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, obstruction, resisting arrest and bicycle headlamp violation.
He's due in court April 28.
