Tulsa homicide detectives are scratching their heads tonight after a judge sets bond at $100,000 for a Glenpool teenager charged with first-degree murder, robbery and kidnapping.

Three other teenagers charged in the same case are being held with $500,000 bonds or none at all.

Homicide detectives said without Tyler Ratcliff, 19, this crime doesn't happen. They said he set up the drug deal, he brought a gun to the crime and he was the getaway driver.

Police said Ratcliff made arrangements through Snapchat to buy pot and Xanax from Amadeuss and Amado Becerra.

Police also said Ratcliff and two buddies - Nick Morris and Trevor Tarpalechee - went to do the deal March 27 in the parking lot of the Quickie Mart Skate shop.

They said the younger Becerra brother got into the car with the three men from Glenpool. Police said Amado Becerra had a gun and so did Ratcliff and one of the other Glenpool men.

Police said there was a struggle in the car and Ratcliff drove off with Becerra still inside. That's when Becerra's brother started shooting at the car.

He hit and killed Nick Morris, who was sitting in the backseat.

Prosecutors charged Morris' friends, Ratcliff and Tarpalechee, and both Becerra brothers with murder.

Trevor and the Becerra brothers have either no bond or half a million bond.

But, the judge gave Ratcliff $100,000-bond for his murder charge.

Police said they don't understand why his bond is lower than the others.

"It's kind of the story of the goose and the gander. If it's good for Tyler, then it has to be good for everybody else," TPD Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker said.

The judge did order Ratcliff to wear a GPS monitor, have drug tests, live with his parents, have no guns or access to social media.

Ratcliff's defense attorney argued Ratcliff turned himself in so he's not a flight risk, he has no criminal history except for a public intoxication, he has a strong family support system and even though he's charged with murder, he didn't shoot anybody.
