Driver Killed In Wreck Near 61st And Memorial

Tulsa Police said a medical issue likely caused a deadly wreck near 61st and Memorial.

Witnesses said the driver of a white truck hit the guy wire of a power pole and flipped before being ejected from his vehicle. 

Officials say they tried to give aid as soon as they arrived on the scene. 

"Officers arrived on scene almost right away,” Darrell Ross of the Tulsa Police Department stated.

“A few of our officers started CPR, continued CPR until TFD and EMSA arrived on scene. They picked it up; he was defibrillated a couple times trying to keep him active. Unfortunately, he was pronounced very recently at the hospital."
