The Tulsa Regional Chamber and other tourism groups officially announced Thursday, December 15, that Tulsa will be the site of the OKPOP Museum.
The announcement was made at the Cain's Ballroom - a fitting site as the new museum will find its home just across the street from the iconic Tulsa venue.
The OKPOP Museum will focus on everything Oklahoma has to offer as far as popular culture - one example will be the Bob Wills estate collection with more than 350 photographs and documents.

It will be funded by a $25 million bond issue approved in May, 2015. It will include a 100-space underground parking garage to help visitors find a place to park in the Brady Arts District.
It joins the cultural renaissance of downtown Tulsa and will be near the Cain's, the Brady, the Woody Guthrie Center, 108 Contemporary art museum, Hardesty Arts Center, Philbrook Downtown, the Henry Zarrow Center for Art and Education and more.
