Santa Claus paid a visit to Tulsa Hills Sunday, not to go shopping, but to collect donated toys.
The toys will go to Tulsa's Family & Children Services, an organization that helps local families.
Santa said are several kids in Tulsa who are on his nice list.
He left his reindeer at the North Pole Sunday and opted to ride in a helicopter - to make a special trip to Tulsa.
"The temperature's a little warm to fly reindeer, they get too dehydrated," Santa said.
Once he landed safely, he discovered the kids had more to do than discuss their wish list.
"They're definitely on the nice list - no naughty list for them. To see them giving their toys away to help, that's great," he said.
People are donating everything from dolls to school supplies.
"We just want to make sure that the kids that aren't gonna get toys for Christmas, or clothing, that we are helping to try to fix that," Tulsa County Helicopters Manager Becky Woodward.
"It's better to give than receive," Santa said. "It definitely makes you feel better. Your heart swells. It's a great feeling."
And those who helped fill the helicopter will receive.
Tulsa County Helicopters gave everyone a discount on a Christmas Light Tour.
But, Santa had to head back home.
"My next stop will be the North Pole, for supper tonight," he said.
The toys will go to kids right here in Green Country.
