Thousands of bikers roared across Tulsa Sunday afternoon donning leather jackets and Santa hats and with bags of toys strapped to the back of their motorcycles on their way to Guthrie Green for the ABATE-Marines Toys for Tots Run.
The bikers participated in an annual citywide motorcycle parade that collects toys for children in need.
"We are hoping for lots of toys and all these toys are going to stay in northeastern Oklahoma, which is a real plus," said event coordinator James Clark.
The City of Tulsa expected about 5,000 people to participate in the event and Tulsa police assisted with road closures and escorted the motorcycles as they made their way from the Tulsa's Expo Square to their finish line near Guthrie Green in downtown.
Empty semi trucks were waiting when the bikers arrived and all the toys were loaded inside.
The toys will be distributed through the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
