The Collinsville Police Department is hoping to keep you holiday safe by offering free gun locks.

Their goal is to make sure families are as safe as possible.

In a post on its Facebook page, the department said, “With the holidays coming up families will be doing a lot of traveling and that means lots of kids at relatives house that are not usually there.”

The post says they are offering the locks to make sure any guns are safe and that “you can feast with peace of mind knowing that your firearms are secure.”

They ask people to stop by the department at 1023 West Center Street in Collinsville to get the locks.
