Former Tulsa Police officer Shannon Kepler remains free on bond after a judge denied three of four reasons for a new trial on his weapons conviction.
Kepler's legal team was back in court Monday to deal with the reckless firearm charges he faces after his murder trial ended in a mistrial earlier this month.
A jury was split on if Kepler murdered Jeremey Lake in 2014.
A mistrial was declared and a second murder trial is now scheduled to begin in February.
Another hearing is set for Thursday to address the defense's fourth reason for a new trial over the weapons charges.
